Notice of road closure impacting the entrance of The Commodore

As part of the Princes Highway Corridor Upgrade, asphalting and line marking at the Penola Road roundabout will be undertaken from Monday, 17 June. These works will affect access to the primary entrance of The Commodore.

There will be changes to traffic conditions to keep everyone safe. Works will occur on one side of the roundabout at a time. Traffic signage and traffic controllers will be in place to guide motorists around the closures.

 

–   Access along the Jubilee Highway West through the roundabout for eastbound and westbound traffic will remain open under speed and lane restrictions.

–   Access to the southern side of Penola Road will be closed on Monday, 17 June and Thursday, 20 June 2024.

–   Access to the northern side of Penola Road will be closed on Tuesday, 18 June and Wednesday, 19 June 2024.

 

Road closures will only occur during work hours. Other traffic restrictions on Jubilee Highway will be localised lane closures where required during working hours only.

 

 

Alternative Access routes during Asphalt works

FROM PENOLA via Penola Road  [Yellow Route]

–    Left at Canavan road

–    Right at Fairlie Street

–    Right at 7 Fairlie Street (vacant block)

–    Drive through the gate and veer left on the gravel driveway. This will bring you into the second carpark of the main complex.

–    To access the front of the property and the first carpark continue through the driveway (note: 2.5m height limit).

 

FROM VICTORIA via Jubilee Highway East  [Blue Route]

–    Right at Crouch Street North

–    Left at North Terrace

–    Left at 7 Fairlie Street (vacant block)

–    Drive through the gate and veer left on the gravel driveway. This will bring you into the second carpark of the main complex.

–    To access the front of the property and the first carpark continue through the driveway (note: 2.5m height limit).
