The Beginning
Built on Mount Gambier’s old saleyards in 1963, THE COMMODORE Motel was established by successful motelier George Frew as part of his established chain of Motels, stretching throughout Western Victoria and Queensland. Fast forward to January 1989, THE COMMODORE was taken over by Leanne and Evan Kosch and, for over 35 years, has become a superior choice for accommodation and dining in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
The Now
A strong focus since the acquisition has always been a commitment to modern accommodation, dining and function facilities, and over the years, major renovations and upgrades have been completed; and we’re never really done. We’re committed to guest experience and providing exceptional regional accommodation and dining experiences, and in alignment with our vision, we’ll continue to adapt, grow and elevate all elements of THE COMMODORE.
